Today I want to introduce myself apart from a Life Coach and a Tarot reader. I do one of the toughest jobs on the planet. I’m a mom. A Mom to two boys. And they somehow think I’m a carpenter, I’m a painter, a coach, a chef, a baker, an origamist, a mechanic, an electrician, a doctor and sports coach all rolled into one. I want what all parents wish from their kids. I want them to be happy. I want them to grow up into a kind, compassionate and giving adults. Today there’s a small challenge in these times of pandemic. The world is going through a major shift. Already world statistics were on a higher side where the anxiety and depression are concerned (over 1 billion adults and over 200 million kids are suffering for different kinds of mental problems at any time). Now things are going from bad to worse. The statistics have increased manifolds. I know I’m not painting a pretty picture. Remember our kids are learning from us all the time.                                                     Do we know that depression is an illness just like any other illness? So don’t you think its time we accept it? If you leave anxiety and depression unattended just like any other illness left alone for long. People die. Yes!! You got it correct. Just like a hypertensive person if left alone unattended without any treatment, would die of a stroke or a heart attack one day and a diabetic person if left alone would have severe issues with blood sugar levels and would eventually die. Similarly, Depression and Anxiety if left alone leads to suicide. Our brain is an organ just like any other organ. You would not leave any physical disorder like diabetes or cholesterol unattended. Lets Understand Our Thoughts

How much do we know about our brains and our thoughts? Scientists tell us we have 70,000 thoughts in a day. It is almost like a thought every second. But here’s a catch, out of 70,000 thoughts we have only 5% new thoughts. Ah! Now, this does not sound all that amazing. Let's understand how we can work on ourselves. We are perpetually repeating our thoughts 95% of the time. The same thoughts keep going around our heads over and over in a loop. And do we know how much of these thoughts are negative in nature? And the kind of effect it has over us, our daily lives, our dreams. Do we realize that we have left these negative thoughts on autopilot and they are going around in our minds without our knowledge? These negative thoughts are self-sabotaging talks that we keep giving ourselves unconsciously. For example,  I’m not good enough. I can't do it. They deserve it, but I don’t have that thing to deserve it. I’m not strong enough. I’m not experienced enough. These destructive though

Why does our brain has this tendency to highlight negative thinking and how can we turn it around?

                           Do we know that our brain is not always with us in creating happiness? Our mind loves negative thoughts so it sticks to it. What can we do to counter these negative thoughts. Do you think just positive thinking solves our problems? Why is it so hard to find that life of meaning, beautiful relationship and happiness that we long for? Why can't we simply remain "happy" all the time. We even try replacing to happy thoughts and carrying on with our lives. But that doesn't happen. Does it? This can only happen by taking positive action because happiness is a life skill that we need to train and work on.  You must have gone through something like this that you kept worrying about something, even though you knew worrying won't change the situation, yet you kept worrying. I have seen my Mum doing this. And this worrying only takes her to another level of anxiety.  What I'm trying to get at is that however you feed yourself with positivity bu
